Brazilian Fudge Parfait

Ingredients

  • 3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 square (1 oz.) unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup heavy or whipping cream
  • 3/4 tsp. cinnamon
  • Dash of salt
  • 1 Tbsp. grated orange peel, or more
  • 1/3 cup slivered almonds
  • 1 quart Baskin- Robbins Jamoca- Almond Fudge Ice Cream

Directions

  1. Melt butter and chocolate in a heavy pan; stir in cocoa, sugar, cream, cinnamon and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, mix in peel and almonds.

  2. Cool. Layer, alternately, with ice cream in parfait glasses, or serve warm over scoops of ice cream in parfait glasses, or, serve warm over scoops of ice cream.
