Flambeed Peach Ice Cream Topping

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 2 Tbsp. slivered almonds
  • 3 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
  • 2 medium peaches, sliced or 1 can (16 oz.) sliced peaches, drained (1 cup)
  • 1/4 cup bourbon, heated (see note)

Directions

  1. In a skillet or chafing dish over medium heat stir butter, almonds and sugar until hot and bubbly. Stir in peaches and cook about 2 minutes or until heated through. Remove skillet from heat; add bourbon and ignite with long match. When flame dies out, serve hot over vanilla or peach ice cream.
