Chocolate Sour Cream Fudge

Ingredients
- 2 cups sugar
- 1 cup dairy sour cream
- 2 squares unsweetened chocolate, broken into pieces
- 1/2 tsp. alt
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts
Directions
- Combine sugar, sour cream, chocolate, salt and syrup in a heavy 2-quart saucepan with cover. Cook and stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Cook over medium heat until boiling; cover and cook for 3 minutes. Uncover and cook for 3 minutes. Uncover and cook, stirring frequently, to soft ball stage. Remove from heat. Add butter and vanilla. Cool to lukewarm without stirring. Beat vigorously until candy is creamy and has lost its gloss. Add nuts and pour into a buttered 8-inch square pan. Cut into 1 1/4 inch squares when hard.
