Frozen Fruit Medley

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (3oz.) Jell-O gelatin, any flavor
  • dash salt
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can (8 3/ oz.) pineapple tidbits
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 envelope Dream whip Whipped Topping Mix
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 medium banana, diced
  • 1/2 cup seeded halved Tokay grapes
  • 1/4 cup diced maraschino cherries
  • 1/2cup chopped nuts

Directions

  1. Dissolve gelatin and salt in boiling water. Drain pineapple, measuring syrup and adding water to make 1/2 cup. Stir liquid and lemon juice into gelatin.
  2. Chill until slightly thickened. (Consistency
  3. of unbeaten egg whites- about 1 hour and 15 minutes.)

  4. Prepare whipped topping mix as directed on envelope. Mix with mayonnaise, fruits and nuts until blended. Then, blend into slightly thickened gelatin.
  5. Spoon into 8 × 4-inch loaf pan. Freeze until firm. Unmold; let stand at room temperature 30 minutes before slicing. Garnish as desired.
