Ingredients
- 2 T olive oil
- 2 small onions, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 lb ground Italian sausage
- 1T salt
- 1 can tomatoes (1lb, 12oz)
- 1 T basil leaves
- 1/2 t oregano
- 1/4 t pepper
- 16 ounces tomato sauce
- 12 ounces tomato paste
- 1 1/2 c water
- 3 c ricotta or cottage cheese
- 1/2 c grated Parmesan
- 2 T parsley
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 lb thinly sliced mozzarella
- 1lb cooked lasagne noodles
Directions

Saute onions in oil, add garlic at end. add meat and brown until crumbly. Drain Fat. Then add tomatoes and seasonings and simmer 1/2 hour. Add past and water, simmer 1/2 hour longer and set aside.

Mix Ricotta, Parmesan, parsley and eggs.

Place thin layer of meat at bottom of pan then 1/2 the noodles,all of the cheese mixture,1/2 the mozzarella, 1/2 the remaining meat, then noodles, meat and mozzarrella.

Bake at 350F for 1/2-1 hour
