Grilled Banana Split

Ingredients

  • 1 banana unpeeled, halved lengthwise
  • 1 peach or nectarine
  • 2 1/2-inch thick slices pound cake
  • 2 scoops vanilla ice cream
  • 2 Tbsp. hot chocolate sauce
  • 1 Tbsp. toasted chopped walnuts

Directions

  1. Halve and pit peach or nectarine. Grill fruit; cut side down, over medium-hot coals 45 seconds or until it begins to brown, peel banana.
  2. Grill cake slices 30 to 60 seconds per side, until toasted, then cut diagonally. Place 2 scoops vanilla ice cream in dessert dish. Drizzle with hot chocolate sauce, sprinkle with walnuts and arrange fruit and cake decoratively around ice cream.
