Hawaiian Macadamian Sundae

Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 cup salted macadamia nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1 cup whipping or heavy cream
  • 1 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 quart Baskin-Robbins Nutty Coconut or Fresh Coconut Ice Cream

Directions

  1. Melt butter in saucepan, mix in nuts; heat,
  2. stirring occasionally, until lightly toasted. Stir in brown sugar and cream. Bring just to a boil and simmer until blended, stirring constantly. Let cool slightly. Spoon warm sauce over individual scoops of Ice Cream. (Sauce can be made ahead, refrigerated and warmed just before serving.)
