Heavenly Ice Cream Trifle

Ingredients

  • 8 ladyfingers, split
  • 1/3 cup raspberry or strawberry jam
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp. cherry wine
  • 8 almond or coconut macaroons, crushed
  • 1 quart Baskin-Robbins Burgundy Cherry Ice Cream
  • 3/4 cup heavy or whipping cream
  • 3 Tbsp. powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup sliced or slivered almonds, toasted

Directions

  1. Spread split ladyfingers with jam. Arrange in a single layer, jam side up, in the bottom of an 8 inch square pan. Mix orange juice and cherry wine; pour over ladyfingers. Sprinkle with crushed macaroons and cover with 3/4 of the ice cream. Freeze at least 3 hours. (For individual servings, place ladyfingers in bottom of 8 freezer-proof glass dessert or sherbet dishes. Divide ingredients and layers as described above. Freeze). Just before serving, whip cream, powdered sugar and vanilla. Swirl over ice cream. Sprinkle with toasted almonds.
