Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 3/4 cup sugar
- Dash salt
- 2 mangoes, peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup light cream
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 2 egg whites
Directions
- In saucepan combine water, 1/2 cup sugar, and salt. Cook 5 minutes; cool. In blender combine mangoes and cream, blending until smooth. Stir in cooled syrup and lemon juice.
- Place in freezer until partially frozen. Beat egg whites to soft peaks; gradually add 1/4 cup sugar, beating to stiff peaks. Place partially frozen mixture into chilled mixing bowl; break into chinks.
- Beat until mixture is smooth. Fold in beaten egg whites. Freeze until firm.
