Ingredients

• 1/2 cup half-and-half
• 1 Tbsp. sugar
• 1/4 tsp. vanilla
• 1 cup rock salt, divided
• ice

Directions

1. Put first 3 ingredients in plastic bag and seal closed. Fill larger plastic bag with 3 cups ice and 1/2 cup rock salt. Insert smaller bag, then add an additional 2 cups ice and final 1/2 cup rock salt. Shake vigorously until ice crystals form.

2. Variation: Add 1 Tbsp. chocolate syrup, or 2 Tbsp. mini chocolate chips or mini M&Ms.
