Shortbread

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c superfine sugar
  • 1/4 lb butter
  • 1 c sifted flour

Directions

  1. Cream together sugar and butter. Slowly add flour and stop when the mixture holds together, it may be less than a cup or more than a cup. Kneed the dough a bit. Pat out in hand, flat, and cook in ungreased round cake pan at 325F for 1/2 hour. Cut into squares while hot.
