Mulled-Cider Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 1 cup port wine
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3 strips (3 inches each) orange peel
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 5 cloves
  • 4 cups apple cider

Directions

  1. Combine port, sugar, orange peel, cinnamon and cloves in small saucepan. Bring just to boil over high heat, stirring to dissolve sugar, 3 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Strain through sieve into large bowl. Stir in cider. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
