Ingredients
- 1 cup port wine
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 3 strips (3 inches each) orange peel
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 5 cloves
- 4 cups apple cider
Directions
- Combine port, sugar, orange peel, cinnamon and cloves in small saucepan. Bring just to boil over high heat, stirring to dissolve sugar, 3 minutes. Cool to room temperature. Strain through sieve into large bowl. Stir in cider. Freeze in ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions.
