Peach Ice Cream

Ingredients

  • 2 egg yolks
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup top milk
  • 1 cup sieved fresh or canned peaches
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. almond extract
  • 2 unbeaten egg whites

Directions

  1. Beat egg yolks and sugar until thick and lemon colored. Add remaining ingredients, except egg whites. Mix thoroughly. Pour into freezer-safe container, and freeze until firm. Turn into chilled bowl; mash, add unbeaten egg whites, beat until smooth and fluffy, using electric or rotary beater. Return to container and freeze until firm.
