Pineappke Lime Sorbet

Ingredients

  • 1 large fresh pineapple
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lime juice

Directions

  1. Halve pineapple lengthwise, remove fruit discard core; chop pineapple.
  2. In blender, combine chopped pineapple, sugar and lime juice. Cover and blend for about 2 minutes; until smooth. Press mixture through a fine- mesh sieve over medium bowl. Should have about 3 cups puree; discard pulp. Pour puree into 2 quart ice cream freezer. Freeze according to manufacturer’s directions. If desired, ripen sorbet about 4 hours by packing container down with more ice and salt.
