Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 cups milk
- 3 egg yolks well beaten
- 3/4 cup cream sherry
- 2 cups whipping cream
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Combine sugar, cornstarch, salt, milk and egg yolks in saucepan. Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until mixture boils. Stir in cream sherry; cool thoroughly. Pour into freezer-safe container. Freeze until slightly frozen. In a chilled bowl, beat cream until soft peaks form. Spoon frozen sherry mixture into another well chilled bowl; beat until smooth. Fold in whipped cream and chopped walnuts. Spoon mixture back into freezer-safe container or 9 × 13 × 2-inch metal pan. Cover surface with waxed paper; freeze until firm
