Ingredients
- 2 10oz. pkg. frozen strawberries un quick-thaw pouch, thawed
- 1 envelope unflavored gelatin
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
Directions
- Into small saucepan, drain 1/2 cup strawberry syrup. Sprinkle gelatin evenly over syrup; cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin is completely dissolved.
- In large bowl, stir gelatin mixture, strawberries and remaining syrup and buttermilk until well combined. Cover bowl and freeze mixture until partially frozen, about 1 1/2 hours.
- With mixer at medium speed, beat mixture until smooth but still frozen, scraping bowl with rubber spatula. Cover and freeze 2 hours longer or until firm. (If firm, let sherbet stand at room temperature about 10 minutes for easier serving.)
