Basic Buttered Salted Pecans

Ingredients
- 3 cups pecan halves
- 1 Tbsp. unsalted butter
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
Directions
- Spread the pecans in a single layer in a large skillet (work in batches if necessary). Place over medium heat. Cook, stirring frequently and watching carefully for scorching, for 8 to 10 minutes or until the pecans are very fragrant and just starting to darken, but do not have burned spots.
- Pour the pecans into a large heat-safe bowl. Add the butter and stir until butter is melted and pecans, are lightly coated. Sprinkle with salt, stirring to coat. Serve immediately or cool and store in an airtight container for several days.
