30-minute Pizza Crust

Ingredients

  • 1 /14 to 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 1 packet Rapid Rise yeast
  • 1 1/3 tsp. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 2/3 cup very warm water (120 to 130 degrees)
  • 3 Tbsp. oil
  • 1/2 to 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1 to 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Other toppings as desired.

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
  2. Combine1 cup flour, yeast, sugar and salt in a large bowl. Add very warm water and oil Mix ingredients together until well blended. Gradually add 1/2 cup flour until dough forms a ball. Add additional flour, if needed, to handle. Spoon dough onto floured surface. (Dough will be slightly sticky.)
  3. knead dough until it is smooth and elastic; about 4 minutes. Cover with kitchen towel and let rest for 10 minutes.
  4. Roll out dough. press dough into a greased pizza pan. Top with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings.
  5. Bake on the lowest rack for 12 to 15 minutes, until the crust browns.
