Tasty Cheese Scones

Another ‘fail proof’ recipe for cheese scones

Serves 10 people

Ingredients
- 4 C self raising flour
- 1/2 t salt
- 50 g cold butter
- 1 1/2 C tasty cheese, grated
- approx 350 to 400 ml buttermilk, or mix of plain yoghurt and milk
- extra grated cheese to top
Directions

Mix butter into flour and salt, until mixture resembles breadcrumbs.

Add cheese, and stir through.

With a knife, mix butter or yoghurt/milk mix into flour mixture, to form a soft dough.

Knead gently on floured board, cut into squares.

Top with extra grated cheese.

Bake at 200oC approx 15-20 minutes, until golden and firm.
