Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 cups peeled, seeded, and diced watermelon
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 quart carbonated water
Directions
- Bring sugar and 1/4 cup water to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves.
- Press watermelon with back of a spoon through a fine wire-mesh strainer, discarding pulp. Combine watermelon juice, sugar syrup, and lemon juice in a 2-quart pitcher. Chill.
- Add carbonated water to juice mixture just before serving; serve over ice.
