Asian-Spiced Chicken Wings

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs chicken wings
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/4 cup dry sherry
  • 2 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup hoisin sauce
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds, toasted
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced

Directions

  1. Broil the chicken wings 10 min on each side until browned. Transfer wings to crock pot. Add next 6 ingredients; stir thoroughly. Cover and cook chicken on LOW 5-6 hrs. Stir once half way through.

  2. Remove wings from crock pot. Remove 1/4 cup cooking liquid. Combine liquid with hoisin sauce and lime juice. Drizzle over wings.

  3. Before serving, sprinkle wings with sesame seeds and green onions.
