Ingredients
- 1 (16 oz.) pkg. mascarpone cheese
- 1 1/4 cups whipping cream
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 cup brewed espresso
- 2 Tbsp. dark run
- 2 (3oz.) pkg. ladyfingers
- 4 (1-oz.) bittersweet chocolate squares, grated
Directions
- Beat first 4 ingredients at high speed with an electric mixer 30 seconds or just until blended.
- Stir together espresso and rum.
- Arrange 1 pkg. ladyfingers in bottom of a 3-quart bowl or trifle dish;; brush with half of espresso mixture.
- Layer half of mascarpone cheese mixture over ladyfingers; sprinkle with half of grated chocolate. Repeat layers. Cover and chill 8 hours.
