Aunt Jane’s Soda Biscuits

don’t know who told them Southern biscuits are thin, but here it is.

Ingredients
- 2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 3/4 tsp. Arm & Hammer baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 cup shortening
- 1/4 cup white vinegar
- 1/2 cup sweet milk
Directions
- Sift flour, baking soda and salt together.
- Cut in shortening.
- Add vinegar and milk and stir lightly.
- Turn onto floured board and knead lightly.
- For Northern style- roll about 1/2 inch thick; Southern style- roll 1/4 inch thick.
- Cut biscuits (prick with a fork for southern style?)
- Place on greased baking sheet.
- Bake at 450 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes.
