Pesto Rice and Beans

Ingredients

  • 15 oz can Great Northern beans, rinsed and drained
  • 1 1/2 cups frozen cut green beans, thawed
  • 14 oz can chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup prepared pesto
  • 3/4 cup uncooked converted long grain white rice
  • Grated parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. Combine Great Northern beans, broth and rice in crock pot. Cover and cook on LOW 2 hrs.

  2. Stir in green beans. Cover and cook 1 hr.

  3. Turn off crock pot and transfer stoneware to heat proof surface. Stir in pesto and parmesan cheese. Let stand, covered 5 minutes.
