Grandma’s Cream Waffles

Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs (divided)
- 1/2 cup butter
- 4 tsp. baking powder
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1 3/4 cup milk
- Waffle Sauce:
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 egg, beaten lightly
- 1 cup milk
Directions

For Waffles: Mix and sift dry ingredients together. Add milk which has been beaten with egg yolks; add melted butter.. Beat until all lumps have disappeared. Fold in beaten egg whites. Preheat waffle iron/ Bake until golden brown.

For Sauce: Mix all ingredients together and bring to a boil on medium heat. Serve hot, over waffles.
