Snowballs

A family holiday tradition

Cook time: 15 minutesIngredients
- 1 cup butter
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2-3 cups whole wheat flour (larger amount for less greasy cookies)
- 1 cup chopped nuts, optional
- powdered sugar
Directions

Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.

Add vanilla and 2-5 tablespoons water (add larger amount for less greasy cookies).

Mix in flour.

Mix in nuts (optional)

Dough will be very stiff. Refrigerate at least 2 hours.

Preheat oven to 325°F.

Roll dough into walnut-sized balls and arrange on an ungreased baking sheet.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned on the bottom.

Let cool.

Store cookies buried in powdered sugar in an airtight container.
