T-Bones with Onions

Ingredients

  • 3 large onions, cut into 1/4-inch-thick slices
  • 2 Tbsp. honey
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. ground mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 4 beef T-bone steaks (about 12 oz. each and 1 inch thick)
  • Additional salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Place onions in the center of a piece of heavy-duty foil (about 20 × 18 inches). Drizzle with honey; sprinkle with salt, pepper, mustard, paprika and pepper. Fold foil over onions and seal tightly. Season steaks with additional salt and pepper.
  2. Grill onions and steaks, covered, over medium-hot heat. Frill onions and steaks, covered, over medium-hot heat. Grill steaks for 7 to 10 minutes on each side or until meat reaches desired doneness (for medium rare, a meat thermometer should read 145 degrees; medium, 160 degrees; well-done, 170 degrees). Let steak stand for 3 to 5 minutes. Serve with onions.
