Toffee Kisses

Ingredients

  • 3 egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate toffee bits

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl beat egg whites, cream of tartar and salt with an electric mixer on high speed until soft peaks form. Add sugar, 1 Tbsp. at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in toffee bits.
  3. Drop batter by level tablespoons onto prepared pan, or fill a disposable plastic bag with batter and pipe about 1 Tbsp. of batter for each meringue onto pan.
  4. Bake 40 minutes, or until crisp. Cool on wire rack in pan. Repeat procedure with remaining batter, reusing parchment paper. Store in an airtight container .
