Santa’s Favorite Chocolate Chip Pecan Cookies

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 egg
  • 4 cups (24oz.) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. In small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt.
  3. In large mixer bowl beat butter, sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Gradually beat in flour mixture.
  5. Stir in morsels and pecans.
  6. Drop by well rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets.
  7. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
  8. Let stand 2 minutes. Remove to rack to cool completely before serving.
  9. makes 4 1/2 dozen
