Ingredients
- 2 1/2-3 lb pork sirloin roast
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp cooking oil
- 2 medium onions, cut into thin wedges
- 1 cup Root Beer
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 cups Root Beer
- 1 cup bottled chili sauce
- 1/4 tsp root beer concentrate
- several dashes hot sauce
- 8-10 hamburger buns

Trim fat from meat. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, brown meat on all sides in hot oil. Drain off fat. Transfer meat to cooker. Add onion, 1 cup root beer and garlic.

Cover and cook on LOW 8-10 hrs.

Meanwhile, for sauce, in a saucepan stir together 3 cups root beer and chili sauce. Bring to boiling; reduce heat. Simmer, uncovered, stirring occasionally, about 30 minutes. Add root beer concentrate and hot sauce.

Transfer meat to cutting board. Pull meat apart into shreds. Using a slotted spoon, transfer onion to serving platter. Place meat and onion on rolls. Drizzle meat with root beer sauce.
