Marinades for Chicken

Ingredients

  • #1:
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup reduced-sodium soy sauce
  • 4 cloves minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. dried thyme
  • #2:
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 6 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Fresh ground black pepper
  • #3:
  • 1 1/2 cups plain, full-fat yogurt
  • 2 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 4 cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. cumin
  • 2 tsp. paprika
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. #1- Sweet and Sticky Sesame Marinade

  2. In a medium bowl, mix balsamic vinegar, honey, soy sauce, garlic and dried thyme.
  3. #2- Mojo Marinade

  4. Heat olive oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add garlic and oregano and cook, stirring, about 2 minutes. Stir in orange juice, lime juice, and lemon juice and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in salt and pepper. Let cool.
  5. #3-Spiced Yogurt Marinade

  6. Blend all ingredients together in a medium bowl.
  7. Pour marinade of your choice into a zip-top
  8. plastic bag and drop in 20 to 24 chicken legs, shaking to coat. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

  9. remove chicken from marinade and grill until done to 165 degrees in thickest part.
