Double Chocolate Chewies

Ingredients

  • 3/4 up butter or margarine, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup Hersey's Cocoa
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 (12 oz.) pkg. Hersey's Semi-sweet Chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped pecans toasted and coarsely chopped

Directions

  1. Beat butter and sugar at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Add eggs and next 3 ingredients, beating until blended.
  2. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans. Drop mix by heaping tablespoons onto ungreased baking sheets.

  3. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 9 minutes. (Tops will be soft.) Cool cookies on baking sheet 1 minute; remove to wire racks to cool.
