- Sift flour with baking soda and salt.
- Combine vinegar with milk and vanilla.
- Beat eggs,, sugar and chocolate together for 1 minute (125 strokes)..
- Add flour mixture, shortening and 1/2 the liquid.
- Stir until flour is dampened; then beat for 1 minute (125 strokes), scraping sides of bowl often.
- Stir in remaining liquid and beat 1 minute
- (125 strokes).
- Turn into greased 13 × 9 × 2-inch pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees. for 45 minutes.
- Frost when cool with Fudge Frosting.
