Garlic-and-Wine Grilled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine melted
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh parsley
  • 6 garlic cloves, minced
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • 1 (3 to 4 lb.) pkg. chicken pieces

Directions

  1. Stir together first 9 ingredients; reserve 1/2 cup. Pour remaining mixture into a large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add chicken. Seal and chill 4 hours, turning occasionally.
  2. Remove chicken from marinade, discarding marinade.
  3. Prepare fire by piling charcoal or lava rocks on 1 side of grill, leaving the other side empty. Place rack on grill. Arrange chicken over side with charcoal, and grill, covered with grill lid, 5 minutes on each side. Grill, covered with grill lid, 45 minutes, turning 3 times and basting often with reserved 1/2 cup wine mixture.
