Grape-Apple Jelly

Ingredients
- 5 cups red grapes
- 2 cups McIntosh apples, cored, peeled, chopped
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup grape juice
- 1/4 cup sugar for each cup juice
Directions
- Combine grapes, apples and water in deep 4-quart microwave-safe glass bowl. Cover. Cook on high power until tender, 15 to 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes.
- Strain through several thicknesses of cheesecloth. measure juice to calculate for sugar. Place juice in 4 quart microwave safe glass bowl.
- Cook on high power 30 to 40 minute, stirring every 5 minutes. Remove from oven; let stand 5 minutes. Test for jelling.
- Pour into sterilized half-pint jars. Adjust lids. Process in water bath canner 5 minutes or freeze.
