German Chocolate Snack Cakes

Ingredients

  • 1 (18.25 oz.) pkg. German chocolate cake mix
  • 4 large eggs, divided
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 (16oz.) pkg. powdered sugar
  • 1 (8oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
  • Ice cream or whipped topping

Directions

  1. Stir together cake mix, 1 egg, pecans, and butter; press mixture into bottom of a lightly greased 13 × 9-inch pan.
  2. Beat sugar, cream cheese, and remaining 3 eggs at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Spoon powdered sugar mixture over batter in pan.
  3. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour. Cool and cut into 2 1/2 to 3 inch squares. Serve with ice cream.
