Peppery Grilled Sirloin

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 4 1/2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice (about 1 to 2 limes)
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. powdered ginger
  • 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 4 (3/4-inch-thick)top sirloin steaks
  • 1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

  1. Combine first 7 ingredients in a large shallow dish or heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add steaks. Cover or seal, and chill at least 2 1/2 hours, turning occasionally.
  2. Remove steaks, reserving marinade for basting. Sprinkle steaks with salt.
  3. Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium-high heat (350 to 400 degrees). basting often with reserved marinade, 7 minutes on each side or to desired doneness. Discard any excess marinade.
