Chocolate Ice Box Pie

Ingredients

  • 1st layer:
  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 cup chopped pecans, divided use
  • 2nd layer:
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 8 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 1 large (16oz.) carton Cool Whip, divided use
  • 3rd layer:
  • 2 pkg. instant chocolate pudding (reg. size)
  • 3 cups cold milk

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients for 1st layer and spread on bottom of 9 × 13 or 9 x15 inch baking dish. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Cool completely.
  2. For 2nd layer, mix sugar and cream cheese until creamy, then fold half of the Cool Whip. Spread over 1 st layer. Refrigerate until set.
  3. For 3rd layer, mix pudding and milk, then spread over 2nd layer. Chill until set. Top with remaining Cool Whip, then chopped nuts.
