Ingredients
- 2 cups drained canned chickpeas, liquid reserved
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 1/4 cup olive oil, plus more for garnish
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp ground cumin
- salt and pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 4 whole-wheat pita bread rounds, warmed
Directions

In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, oil, garlic, lemon juice and cumin. Season with salt and pepper and process until pureed. With the food processor running, add the reserved chickpea liquid until the mixture is smooth and reaches desired consistency.

Spoon the hummus into a serving bowl, drizzle with a bit of olive oil, and sprinkle with paprika and parsley.

Serve immediately, with warmed pitas.
