Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp peanut oil
  • 1 large onion, halved and thinly sliced
  • 1 cup julienned carrots
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 head napa cabbage, thinly sliced
  • 8 oz thin Chinese noodles, cooked according to package
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Directions

  1. Heat the peanut oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the onion and cook for a couple of minutes, until it starts to soften.

  2. Add the carrots and half the green onions, then stir and let the veggies cook for 2 minutes.

  3. Stir in the cabbage and cook for 2 minutes more. Then add the noodles, soy sauce and sesame oil. Toss it together, then add the rest of the green onions and toss them in. Serve hot.
