Skillet Lasagna

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 24 oz jar marinara sauce
  • 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • Kosher salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup sour cream, at room temp
  • 1/2 cup grated fresh mozzarella
  • 12 oz cooked bow-tie pasta
  • 8 basil leaves, chopped

Directions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the beef with the garlic until it’s completely browned, then drain off the excess fat.

  2. Pour in the marinara sauce, then add the Italian seasoning and salt and pepper to taste. Stir, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes.

  3. Add the sour cream, and stir until it’s all combined. Throw in the mozzarella, and the cooked pasta and stir it all around to combine. Serve piping hot with a little chopped basil on top.
