Parmesan-Wine Bread

Ingredients

  • 2 cups biscuit mix
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dried oregano
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1/4 cup dry white wine
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

  1. Combine the first 3 ingredients; stir in 1/4 cup cheese, butter, and next 3 ingredients. Spoon into a greased 8-inch pie plate or round cake pan. Sprinkle with remaining cheese.
  2. Bake at 400 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes; serve warm.
  3. makes 1 loaf
