Lemony Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 lbs fresh green beans, ends snapped
  • 1 1/2 lemons, plus a lemon half for garnish
  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. When the butter sizzles and starts to turn golden, throw in the green beans and saute them, stirring occasionally, until slightly tender, 3-4 minutes.

  2. Squeeze in the juice of the lemons. Sprinkle in the salt and pepper, then stir to make sure everything is coated and combined. Cook for an additional minute, then turn off the heat.

  3. Serve them heaped on a platter with a lemon half for squeezing.
