Pecan Pie

Ingredients

  • 3 whole room-temperature eggs, beaten slightly
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup white Karo syrup
  • dash of salt
  • capful vanilla extract (about 1 tsp.)
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 room-temperature Pillsbury pie crust
  • 3 pats butter

Directions

  1. Combine eggs, sugar, Karo syrup, salt, vanilla and pecans and mix well.
  2. Unfold pie crust and arrange in a 9-inch pie plate. Dimple the edges in a pie pan. Pour in pie filling. Dot with butter. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes, reduce temperature to 350 degrees and bake 30 minutes more. Use an aluminum crust cover to prevent a burnt crust.
