Pork Stir-Fry

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. peanut oil
  • 2 medium onions, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 1 celery rib (10 inch), thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeked and crushed
  • 1 lb. thin 1 1/2-inch long lean pork strips
  • 2 Tbsp. dry sherry
  • 1/4 cup chicken stock
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp. cornstarch mixed with 2 tsp, cold water
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce

Directions

  1. Heat oil in wok until hot. Add onions and celery; stir-fry 2 minutes or until tender and crisp. Add garlic and pork, stir -fry until pork loses its pinkness, 2 to 3 minutes. Add next four ingredients; stir-fry 30 seconds. Stir cornstarch mixture; add to wok with soy sauce. Stir-fry until sauce thickens. Serve immediately.
