Ingredients
- Blue Cheese Dip:
- 1 cup mayo
- 3/4 cup sour cream
- 1 heaping cup blue cheese crumbles
- 5-6 dashes Worcestershire
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- Hot Wings:
- Canola oil, for frying
- 24 chicken wing parts
- 12 oz bottle Frank's hot sauce
- 1 stick butter
- Several dashes of Worcestershire
- Several dashes of Tabasco
- Celery sticks, for serving
Directions
-
Begin by making a simple blue cheese dip: Combine the mayo and sour cream in a bowl. Stir in the crumbled blue cheese. Add a few shakes of Worcestershire and some salt and pepper. Then stir it together and store in the fridge, covered, until the wings are ready.
-
Preheat oven to 325. Heat 3 inches canola oil in a heavy pot to 375. Add half the chicken wing parts to the oil and fry them until they’re golden brown and fully cooked, about 5 minutes. Remove them and drain on paper towels, then repeat with the remaining wing parts.
-
In a saucepan, heat the hot sauce and butter over medium-low heat. Add the Worcestershire and Tabasco. Let it bubble up, then turn off the heat.
-
Place the wings in an overproof dish and pout the hot sauce all over the top. Toss to coat, then bake for 15 minutes.
-
Serve with blue cheese dip, celery sticks and favorite beverage!
