Ingredients
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 to 1 tsp. ground ginger
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 3 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp. honey
- 2 Tbsp. canola or cooking oil
- 2 7 oz. pkg. mixed dried fruit bits
- 1/4 cup shelled sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Line an 8 x8 x 2-inch baking pan with foil. Spray with nonstick spray; set aside.
- Combine oats, flour, cereal, and ginger in a large bowl. Add egg, applesauce, brown sugar, honey, and oil; mix well. Stir in fruit bits, sunflower seeds, and walnuts. Firmly press mixture into prepares pan. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes or until lightly browned around edges. Cool on a wire rack. Cut into bars. Use edges of foil to lift from pan.
