Lime Soup

Ingredients

  • 3 whole cloves
  • 1 to 2 Tsp. dried oregano
  • 1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
  • 4 (32 oz.) containers chicken broth
  • 1/2 to 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • Toppings: diced cooked chicken, diced avocado, lime slices, fried tortilla strips, shredded
  • Monterey Jack cheese

Directions

  1. Cook first 3 ingredients in a large stockpot over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add broth, lime juice, and salt. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with desired toppings.
