Ingredients
- 3 whole cloves
- 1 to 2 Tsp. dried oregano
- 1 (3-inch) cinnamon stick
- 4 (32 oz.) containers chicken broth
- 1/2 to 2/3 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- Toppings: diced cooked chicken, diced avocado, lime slices, fried tortilla strips, shredded
- Monterey Jack cheese
Directions
- Cook first 3 ingredients in a large stockpot over medium-high heat 2 to 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Add broth, lime juice, and salt. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 1 to 2 minutes. Serve with desired toppings.
