Lemon Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. hearth Club Corn Starch
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp. nutmeg

Directions

  1. In a saucepan, stir together sugar and corn starch. Add water gradually. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil 2 minutes and remove from heat. Add butter and stir until butter is melted. Add lemon juice and nutmeg.
  2. Serve over gingerbread, pound cake, or steamed of baked puddings.
