Mediterranean Flank Steak

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup lemon juice
- 1/2 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup dry red wine
- 2 shallot, minced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 Tbsp. chopped fresh marjoram *
- 2 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 (1 3/4 lb.) flank steak
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
Directions
- Combine first 7 ingredients in a shallow dish or large heavy-duty zip-top plastic bag; add flank steak. Cover or seal, and chill 8 hours, turning steak occasionally.
- Remove steak from marinade, discarding marinade. Sprinkle steak with salt and pepper.
- Grill, covered with grill lid, over medium-high het (35o to 400 degrees) 4 to 6 minutes on each side or to desired degree of doneness. Let stand 5 minutes.
- Cut steak diagonally across the grain into thin strips.
